For more than 30 years I've been dedicating myself to leather and its processing . In 1988 I opened my shop “ Cas Sabater”  in Sta. Ines on the Balearic island of Ibiza .
     In order to fulfill my ambition of quality , I prefer to use vegetable tanned cowhides . This traditional way of tanning provides a beautiful grain and also allows the leather to age and develop a lovely patina .
     As leather is a natural product , no hide equals an other . That is why I take great care in screening each skin and use only those parts of the hide that show a well structured surface and a perfect grain .
     What follows is traditional craftsmanship - using the same tools and techniques handed down over many generations .
     Handcraft seems to be an anachronism in our fast moving world . Nevertheless , I observe that handmade products are still appreciated and sought-after more than ever .
